added: Star Trek time and a golden oldie I missed last year :)

(I should now donate for Little Favour (edit: done!) and update Adam’s tweets, and finally make a masterpost for Simon Pegg’s ones - as I intend now for months - because the last one is just too adorable (or is there already one around, if so let me know :)) No promise though about WHEN because TIME, WHERE DO I TAKE THE TIME…)

I’m camera shy, and wasn’t able to take pics inside the concert hall, but I can’t tell you how wonderfull it was to experience James Rhodes playing Live at Birmingham’s Barber Institute of Fine Art on 8th May 2013!!!!
GO AND SEE HIM IF YOU GET THE CHANCE!!!

Last night was spent in Birmingham listening to James Rhodes do his thing. The words “amazing” and “lickable” come to mind, but I’ll just have to try and condense it further by saying that he was amazingly lickable lovely.
We Rhodettes (there were several of us — group pic to be posted later) were at the back of the queue for signatures afterward and he was gracious enough to take us on as a group after all the individual fans were seen to. Of course, that left us all with little time to get the experience with him that we wanted and if I’m honest, I felt a tiny bit short-changed by it. There were just too many of us at once.
I did get a signature and bought two of his albums (my favorite is the Brighton one, so that’s what I had him sign). The other album I didn’t own but needed because of REASONS.
But James was LOVELY. More pics to follow.

Top pic: The only shot I could get of the concert event itself because no photographs were aloud during. Still…. Jimmy knows a fine way to treat a Steinway.

Bottom pic: @Rhodettes gave him flowers and a few gifts which he was thoroughly surprised and delighted to receive. He really was very gracious and excited to meet all of us. At one point just before the group pic he was the one waving us to gather about him — like he was a fucking sultan with all of his harem — it was hilarious. The grin on his face was priceless: cat with the cream, indeed. (Group pic has yet to make it online. It will be posted as soon as I get it.)

Is it wrong that I just wanted to put him in my pocket and feed him chocolate biscuits and tea all day?

THANK YOU! :)
